Ceramic powder injection molding: Ceramic powder injection molding (CIM) is a manufacturing process that combines ceramic powder with plastic binder to obtain a certain strength and density of parts through injection molding.

Product application: CIM is widely used in the field of structural ceramics, mainly including Y-TZP grinding balls, dispersing and grinding media, nozzles, ball valve seats, zirconia molds, micro fan shafts, fiber optic pins, fiber optic sleeves, drawing dies and cutting tools, wear-resistant cutting tools, clothing buttons, watch cases and straps, bracelets and pendants, ball bearings, lightweight golf clubs, and other room temperature wear-resistant zero components.

Process flow

Firstly, select ceramic powders and organic binders that meet the requirements of CIM, mix them under certain temperature conditions using appropriate methods to form a uniform feed. Then, after granulation, inject them into the mold cavity using an injection molding machine in a heated and plasticized state to obtain the formed blank. Then, degrease treatment is carried out by chemical or solvent extraction methods, and finally, the final product is obtained by sintering and densification.
